Oklahoma City was the third American city to receive BROOKVILLE’s signature U.S. designed and manufactured modern streetcar vehicle. The Oklahoma City Liberty Streetcars were delivered as part of a $33.7 million contract, including design, engineering, and manufacturing of seven streetcar vehicles. The contract also includes spare parts, training, service, and warranty support.
The Liberty Streetcars ultimately operates in downtown Oklahoma City, along a 2 mile east-west loop and a 4.9 mile north-south loop as part of the City’s MAPS 3 Modern Streetcar Program. These vehicles feature 66 foot long, 8 foot wide carbodies. The Oklahoma City streetcars feature 70% low floor area, 100% curb level boarding and OESS capabilities. These streetcars hold up to 30 seated passengers, with the ability to transport up to 100 passengers.
